Professional membership
A member becomes a professional member in the association once fulfills the obligation and pays the membership fees.
Membership Terms
- To pay an annual subscription fee to the association amounting to (500) Riyals.
- To collaborate with the association and its members to achieve its objectives.
- To refrain from any actions that may cause damage to the association.
- To adhere to the decisions made by the General Assembly of the association.
- To be at least (18) years old.
- To possess full legal capacity.
- To maintain good conduct and behavior.
- To commit to paying the membership subscription fees.
- To have work experience in the field for no less than one year, or hold a minimum of a specialized diploma in film production, or possess global or local professional certifications, or be practicing the profession.
- To provide a portfolio (a copy of the work credits) or a certificate from the producing entity detailing their most significant works, achievements, and experiences in the film sector. This is required for the Board of Directors to approve and authorize their membership.
Membership Privileges
- The right to attend and vote in the General Assembly.
- Receive fundamental information about the association’s activities on a regular basis.
- Access to the minutes and financial documents at the association’s headquarters.
- The ability to call for an extraordinary meeting of the General Assembly in conjunction with 25% of the members who have the right to attend the General Assembly.
- The right to delegate representation in writing to another member to attend the General Assembly on their behalf, in accordance with the provisions set out in Article (Twenty-One) of the Executive Regulations of the Associations and Private Institutions System.

Associate membership
A member becomes an associate of the association if they are practicing in one of the association’s specializations, and if they have applied for membership to the association but do not meet one of the conditions for Standard membership, resulting in a decision by the Board of Directors to accept them as an associate member. Alternatively, they may have directly applied for associate membership.

Saudi Riyals. - Cooperate with the association and its members to achieve its objectives.
- Refrain from engaging in any act that may harm the association.
- Comply with the decisions of the general assembly.
- Maintain good character and behavior.
- Have a record of participation in filmmaking and photography, whether professional or as a hobby, and be familiar with the techniques and concepts in this field.

- Participate in the activities of the association.
- Receive basic information about the activities of the association regularly every fiscal year.
- Address the association through any available means, and the board of directors or its authorized representatives shall respond through the same means or through the registered address in the membership record.
- Priority in participating and attending festivals and events organized by the Film Association.
- Access to training courses and specialized workshops in filmmaking, and participation in professional development programs.
- Networking with colleagues in the profession, exchanging ideas and experiences through the association.

Student Membership
This membership category is designated for male and female students who are either majoring in film and visual arts or have an interest in the field.
Membership Terms
- Pay an annual membership fee of 125 Saudi Riyals.
- Provide a valid student ID card or any document proves enrollment in an educational institution.
- Refrain from any action that may harm the association.
- Comply with the decisions of the general assembly.
- The applicant must be a resident in the same country where the association operates, unless specific exceptions are approved by the board of directors.
- The membership remains valid as long as the above-mentioned conditions are met.
- The board of directors has the right to cancel or renew membership based on periodic review to verify compliance with the requirements.
